What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI agents to tools and data. With an MCP server, the agent can query and operate a system in a controlled way.

Do I have to use Claude?

Not necessarily. MCP is supported by many AI clients. Skills are designed for Claude and Claude Code, but the logic behind them can be reused.

Is it safe to give access to my systems?

The agent only accesses what the MCP server exposes, with the permissions you set. Credentials stay in your environment.
